About Us
We are a coffee and tea house inspired by classical European cafes and East Asian tea traditions. Every drink is prepared with care, whether it’s a carefully dialed espresso, a ceremonial-grade matcha, or a house-made specialty latte.
A space shaped by light, texture, and detail. Blue and white chinoiserie patterns. Quiet tables for reflection. Open spaces for connection. We designed Serie to feel timeless. Elegant but welcoming. Refined but never rigid.
We believe hospitality is an art.
We believe quality speaks softly.
We believe beauty belongs in everyday life.
Whether you’re meeting a friend, working on something meaningful, or simply taking a moment for yourself, we hope Serie becomes part of your story.
What does “Serie” mean?
The name Serie carries two meanings.
In French, série evokes a volume, a collection, or a continuation — a book in a larger story. We have always believed a cafe should feel like that: a place where ideas unfold, conversations build, and moments become chapters.
At the same time, Serie draws from chinoiserie: the European interpretation of East Asian design. Our interiors, patterns, and palette are inspired by this tradition: blue and white motifs, delicate detail, and timeless ornamentation.
The name reflects what we are. A meeting of influences: East and West, past and present, craft and beauty.
Serie is a collection of moments.
And you are part of our story.
FAQ
-
Our emblem is composed of a book framing camellia flowers and two paradise flycatchers.
The open book represents reflection, curiosity, and continuity. A cafe, like a book, is a place where ideas unfold and conversations build. We see Serie as a collection of moments. Each visit is a new page in an ongoing story.
The camellia is a symbol of refinement and longevity. It is also the flower of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. Every traditional tea begins with this plant. The inclusion of camellia in our emblem is a direct homage to tea culture and its centuries-old rituals.
Paradise flycatchers are symbols of auspiciousness. They appear frequently in classical bird-and-flower paintings, huaniaohua, associated with scholarship and refinement. In Chinese numerology, pairs embody harmony and complements. At Serie, the two paradise flycatchers represent balance — between coffee and tea, East and West, reflection and togetherness.

There is more than one way.
You may say SEER-ee, like in series.
You may say ZERR-ee, echoing the ending of chinoiserie.
You may say SEH-ree, as it sounds in French.
Or SEH-ree-uh, as it is spoken in several other languages. We accept them all.
We chose a name that carries multiple influences. Like the name itself, the pronunciation is layered and open-ended.

We serve Koatji as our primary plant-based milk.
Koatji is oat-based and formulated with a shorter ingredient list, allowing for natural sweetness and a smooth microfoam when steamed. Its texture is naturally creamy, allowing it to steam beautifully and complement espresso without overpowering it.
